Architecture is an essential part of our welfare society
and is a prerequisite for cities, urban spaces, landscapes, housing and jobs to support the good life in Denmark. We're building better lives.
Over the past 5-10 years, Danish architectural firms have been under pressure on earnings and position in the value chain of the construction industry.
The industry strategy for Danish Architectural Companies describes the unique historical strengths shared by the Danish architects, architects' value to society and their collaborators. Architecture is an essential part of our welfare society and a prerequisite for cities, urban spaces, landscapes, housing and workplaces to support the good life in Denmark.
The strategy was implemented as an overall industry strategy for Danish Architectural Companies for the period 2014-2017 and again for the period 2018-2022.
The strategy aims to ensure that the association's members are given the greatest possible influence in the market for the benefit of society, the builders, the users and the member companies' own earnings – thereby also strengthening the organization Danske Arkitektcompanies.

"To include the welfare society and people so directly in the strategy is a good thing. Such an industry strategy is 'spot on', that is exactly what Denmark needs"
Margrethe Vestager, then Minister for Economic Affairs and The Interior
